The Mark Sarkis Arts Institute programs were created to promote first-quality modern arts and cultural experiences by supporting the artists of an emerging Armenian society by nurturing them as living realities. While historically, the ANMF played a direct role in supporting Armenian artists, its focus has shifted towards broader models of arts integration within Armenian life. Nevertheless, modern art remains a vital driving force for the foundation, inspiring its continuous iteration of programs and initiatives that attempts to make the arts an inseparable thread in the Armenian cultural tapestry.

Millennium Armenian Children’s Vaccine Fund
The Millennium Armenian Children’s Vaccine Fund (MACVF), established in the late 1990s as a program of the foundation, emerged as a pivotal public health intervention. Committed to the belief that immunization is a fundamental right for children and a cost-effective healthcare measure, the foundation, ANMF, successfully championed the inclusion of several new vaccines in Armenia’s National Immunization Program (NIP). Notable healthcare professionals, including Dr. Albert Kapikian, Dr. Haroutune Armenian, Dr. Kim Arzoumanian, Dr. Margarita Balasanian, Dr. Sharon Chekijian, Dr. Julie Kulhanjian, and Doris S. Mugrditchian, were enlisted in advisory roles. MACVF, functioning as a public-private capital fund, collaborated with UNICEF, GAVI, WHO, the Ministry of Health in Armenia, and others, ultimately introducing life-saving vaccines such as MMR, Hep B, and the Pentavalent Vaccine. The initiative also provided financial support for routine vaccines, contributing to the Ministry of Health and the NIP during Armenia's developmental period from 2000 to 2015.
